Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography (DCS) students’ work has heads turning!

There’s a lot of oohing and aahing going on these days in the IAHS Library and it’s all over the amazing display of 3D vascular anomaly models, courtesy of Mohawk DCS students.  Play-doh, plasticine, pipe cleaners and a slew of other everyday materials have been transformed in the hands of these resourceful students into intricate anatomical creations. The bilateral vena cava with a bridging innominate vein  (pictured)  is just one of the creations on display.   Oh… and if you notice a hint of vanilla in the air, it’s just the iced rice crispy treat model of … right aortic arch with mirror image branching.   No snacking, please … at least not until the group gets their grade!
