Information overload and the MedRadSci student

Welcome back! Being a student in a collaborative program definitely comes with perks! Sometimes, though, too much of a good thing can present as much of a challenge as not enough…case in point,  information overload.   Finding your information bearings between Mohawk’s and McMaster’s collections, can be, to say the least,  a bit daunting. While it may be tempting to turn to your ol’ pal Google, you know in your heart that this isn’t going to get you very far, right?  We want you to study smarter not harder and have come up with a solution, two words … Subject Guide. Sort of rings a bell, but a little fuzzy on how you find it and what it’s all about? For starters Subject Guides are a Mohawk Library thing and they’re not one of those one-size fits all things. They are customized for each program and feature our best and most current resources, tips and tricks. Our Medical Radiation Sciences  subject guide includes links to resources at both Mohawk and McMaster,  packaged for each stream … Ultrasound, Radiography, Radiation Therapy.  Think of your subject guide as a kind of information concierge – reliable, knowledgeable and always at the ready to help guide you to the best in resources.  Have a great summer semester and be sure to use your Subject Guide … often!
