Rush (finally) at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame

For those of you Rush fans out there, the wait is finally over.  Tonight the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame will be celebrating its 28th annual induction ceremony.  To find out more about the ceremony, inductees, presenters, and performers, click here.

Rush is one of six performers/groups that will be inducted into the Hall of Fame this year.  Rush is an iconic Canadian band that formed in the late 1960s, and has been performing ever since.  With nearly 40 albums released since the 1970s, Rush is still recording and touring; they recently released an album and have international tour dates scheduled this year.  Rush has certainly left its mark on Canadian history.  The band was inducted into Canada’s Walk of Fame for their contribution to Canadian music in 1999.  Maclean’s has this article, The six most-beloved Rush concept songs, outlining some of their biggest hits that fans just can’t get enough of.

The library has resources to help you learn more about playing musical instruments, the music industry, and we have a variety of music CD’s to borrow.  If you are interested in browsing the library collection, check out the Music subject guide for books, e-books, videos, audio and much more!

Congratulations to Rush on their musical accomplishments and being recognized by the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
