Sustainability in the city

The City of Hamilton is focusing its efforts on sustainability this week, and Mohawk College is too!

The Sustainability office at Mohawk College  is proud to be a member of the Good Food Box network.  This program distributes fresh fruit and vegetables to customers at various locations around the city.  Staff and students at Mohawk College can order their Good Food Box at the Campus store and support sustainable food systems and local farmers.

Sustainable Hamilton is looking for people to participate in a focus group.   The information session will be held next Wednesday, October 23rd, at City Hall in room 718 from 9 am to 11 am.  The organization aims to create a step-by-step process to sustainability reporting that is accessible to all members of the Hamilton and Burlington business community.

If you are looking for information about how you can be more sustainable, check out the environmental sustainability subject guide!  The guide includes books, e-books, databases, videos, apps, and the most up-to-date trends and issues in the field.  You might be surprised to learn that a small change that you make can have a big impact on the environment.
