For nearly a century, Architectural graphic standards has been the “bible” for professionals in the architecture and construction business. Containing over 1000 pages of amazing building design data and construction details, it is such an essential reference that architect, Philip C. Johnson, called it “a combination of the Encyclopedia Britannica and the telephone book”!
The student edition of this tome was created to provide a more compact and financially accessible work with information of immediate relevance to students. This edition is now available online in e-book format from Mohawk College Library.
Find it here or, better yet, check it out on the Subject guide we’ve created for Mohawk’s Architecture programs. You’ll find lots of other interesting goodies there, even if you’re not in the program!
If you’re a fan of architectural history, you’ll also want to check out A global history of architecture and, if you’re just dying to know how your contractor arrived at the pricing for your latest reno, take a look at Estimating building costs for the residential & light commercial construction professional. Both are available online with your Moco ID!
