In the city: It’s all Greek to me!

This weekend in the city, do not be alarmed if everyone around you is screaming OPA!  They are only getting in the spirit of things for Hamilton’s one and only Greek Fest.  The annual Hamilton Greek Fest is located at Inch Park on the Hamilton mountain.  The fun starts at noon on Friday and doesn’t stop until 9 p.m. on Sunday.  This family friendly, fun-filled event features a kids zone, authentic homemade greek food and desserts, dancing, vendors, live performances, and much more!  For more information check out the event schedule.

If you want to brush up on your knowledge of all things Greek, the Mohawk College Library has the right resources to get you started.  Find books, videos, and more on Ancient Greece, Classical Greece, culture, and civilization.  Let this list of library resources be your guide!

The library also has e-books that you can download anywhere for information on the go.  The History Reference Center offers access to nearly two thousand full text reference books, encyclopedias and non-fiction books from leading history publishers. Or search the EBSCOhost eBooks database which includes thousands of full-text reference, scholarly, and professional e-books.
