This weekend in the city, many of us will celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday. It is usually a time for family traditions, whether they are old or new. Often holiday traditions are connected to holiday food like turkey, stuffing, and pumpkin pie. However, other family traditions may include serving dinner to needy families at a local food bank, taking a hike to enjoy the colours of the season, or like many families, going to the Rockton World’s Fair.
The Rockton World’s Fair, originally known as the Beverly Agricultural Society Fair, was first held in October 1852. Rockton is located just 20 minutes outside Hamilton, and the fair opens on Friday, October 10th at 2:00 p.m. Visitors can enjoy over 1,200 exhibits, a midway. livestock demonstrations, and of course, the Demo derby! The fair offers family friendly activities all weekend long; for more information, view the events schedule web page.
