The city has certainly had it’s fair share of miserable weather this week, but the weekend forecast is promising some sunny skies, and one way to enjoy it is by exploring this great city! Tourism Hamilton has a long list of events happening in the city, and this weekend is no exception.
Halloween is only a week away, the Hamilton Civic Museums are celebrating early. Witches & Warlocks at Westfield includes more than thirty-five heritage buildings lit by lanterns, pumpkins and moonlight, the Westfield will be a magical, mysterious setting for Halloween fun.
This Saturday you can Be a Mad Scientist at the Hamilton Museum of Steam and Technology. Enjoy creepy chemistry experiments, including making slime, and take a Halloween-themed tour of the 1859 Pumphouse. Mad scientists-in-training will also get to decorate their own mad glasses, and create their own lava lamp to take home.
Or why not visit the Community Kitchen at the Hamilton Farmer’s Market for Cooking at the Market: Spooktacular Appetizers. Learn how to create two spooktacular appetizers: Spicy Pumpkin Hummus (in a pumpkin) & Savory Roasted Pumpkin Seeds. The event is free, but space is limited.
